KHR-1
The KHR-1 is available in kit form. The KHR-1 uses 17 KRS784-ICS Digital Servo's (8.7kg*cm, 0.17s/60° @ 6V). The KHR-1 is controlled by 2 RCB-1 boards - these boards are effectively 12 channel serial to PWM converter board. Motion sequences can be created using the Heart-to-Heart application or there is a really nice site that has a GUI which you can use to generate motion sequences.
