The Andy DroidII is based around the EyeCon M4 mcu board and has 17 DOF's provided by 10 AI1001's (legs) and 7 AI701's (arms and head). It also has the EyeCam C2 module mounted on its head bracket.
The Andy DriodII is powered by 8 AA NiMh rechargeable batteries. These are distributed around the humanoids body for better balance. There are 2 AA batteries mounted on each foot whilst there are 4 AA batteries mounted in the chest (behind the mcu).
The front panel of the humanoid's main body frame is hinged. This has been done to allow easy access to the internal pcb's were all the power supply cables and the daisy chained RS232 network are terminated.
The Andy DroidII is ideally suited to applications were autonomy is necessary. The onboard CMOS Image Sensor along with the processing power of the EyeCon mcu board allow for a humanoid that can not only walk but see.
